International Recruitment Opportunity – Residential Youth Worker 2 (Australia)
Safe Places for Children is recruiting experienced and resilient international candidates from the UK and Ireland to support young people who display complex, pain-based behaviours, including verbal and physical aggression, sexualised behaviours, and self-harm.
This international recruitment project is coordinated by Safe Places for Children UK, who will manage all stages of the recruitment process while candidates remain in the UK or Ireland. We are currently seeking Residential Youth Worker 2s to join our Australian teams. This role offers the opportunity to work within our Integrated Practice Framework, which guides all aspects of our support — ensuring consistent, compassionate, and evidence-informed care for young people who have experienced trauma.
As part of the recruitment process, all candidates will complete a structured, multi-stage assessment managed by Safe Places for Children UK. We are actively recruiting for several high-priority Australian locations, including Bunbury, Cairns, Peel, Townsville, and Toowoomba for 482 Visas. We are actively recruiting for 417 Visas for high priority locations for these visa holders being Townsville and Toowoomba.
Successful applicants will attend a compulsory one-day onboarding session in either the UK or Ireland. This session includes required state police checks, visa support, employment agreements, and all necessary documentation that must be finalised before travelling to Australia.
Upon arrival in Australia, Safe Places for Children Australia will provide relocation support, including up to four weeks of shared accommodation and up to four weeks of access to a car share.
